TANGO IS A WHOLE LIFE

Tangos glow, tangos get us nostalgic, their melodies make us fall in love.
It is time to be charmed by them. Tango is a concept "tristeza"; human pain, sorrow,
suffering, and the endless longing for love. These tunes, born in harbour quarters of
La Boca have the sinful taste of life.
We now live the year 1913. The tango has seen Paris and it has become presentable in the salons. The new generation has accepted it as dance "à la mode" and the ladies, how to expose their ankles. In Finland the Tango was danced for the first time just here, at the Restaurant Pörssi. Today you can feel the great drama and tragedy, look your partner deep in the eyes and taste the passion and love. Tango is a whole life.

The decoration of the salon will be dramatic black and red. Roses dominate
the whole. In the dresses of personnel there is a hint of "Evita" and the gentlemen go "macho".

Follow the shadowy, dark vaulted corridor and step into the bright Courtyard.
The distant tune of violin, coming from the monumental stairway, brings you
back to the past decades. Fur coats and feathers, light perfume of powder,
somewhere quite close. It is a must to be there just tonight…
The sophisticated architecture of Lars Sonck, glamorous interior where the art deco is
combined with classical influences, carries you away, on a historical journey
to the twenties, thirties or forties. The dinner will be served with the restrained charm of the past and the personnel is "comme il faut". The revue is flourishing, the jazz is sparkling and the swing invites even the latest couples to the dance floor.
